Promising signs

A sunny morning finally persuaded some of the snowdrops to open and reveal their markings

The cyclamen coum are flowering at the same time which adds to the sense of spring approaching.

Some have seeded themselves into the grass - I might attempt to put them back in the border!

 Hellebore's are adding to the colour as well.

Looking slightly battered - but amazingly still flowering - one of 2017's  Rudbeckia's -

- and a Calendula from last year - wonder if it will survive the cold spell we are supposed to be having from Tuesday.....

Lovely to see some colour starting to appear - and January is nearly over - spring is on it's way
