A Malaysian garden.

We have recently returned from visiting our son and fiancee who are currently living in Kuala Lumpur.

They took us on a long weekend to Sarawak on the island of Borneo where we stayed near Kuchin.

Since we returned to the UK it has rained incessantly and winds have whipped around the garden - so here are some photos of a very different tropical garden on the edge of the jungle at the foot of a mountain.  Lush and colourful.

This was a secluded sitting area that looked directly on to a waterfall cascading down the mountain.

looking up the slope to where the garden merged into jungle area.

The pond was near the house with water trickling from the pot in the corner.

Brilliant leaf colour everywhere

This plant, as well as being in the garden, was planted along many roads in KL. I think it is of the agapanthus family as the leaves and buds have a similar look to them.

A peaceful interlude in a busy trip.

  1. Oh that looks bliss... especially to one cuddled up in front of the fire in a fleece!
