2020 The Year of Going Nowhere. Catch up. Project 1.

The Blog has taken a back seat in 2020 and lost out to Instagram which is so quick and instant!  What a strange year! so thankful for the garden that gave us a focus during the lockdowns.  

So - hopefully a few posts to catch-up on what has been achieved this year.

Back at the end of January, before the pandemic took hold, we had a large Elaeagnus shrub removed from the top of the garden. It had been a golden variegation but was gradually reverting to  plain green and had outgrown it's space.  See the 2-tone shrub in the pics below.  It had to go!  In front was a very large rosemary which had spread in all directions.

Elaeagnus gone, you can see the summerhouse, but rosemary still in situ.  Decision time - shall we keep it?

Rather a mess - think it's got to go!

....so that's the rosemary gone!

A bit of tidying up to do here

 and a new planting opportunity.
